Are you feeling sad, anxious, stressed, or overwhelmed and unsure on how to navigate stressors?

Do you feel stuck in a cycle of unfulfilling relationships and self-destructive patterns?

Do you feel lost because you are trying, but you are plagued with self-doubt and crippled by fears?

Whether you are looking for a therapist to help you through a difficult life transition or support with a family member struggling with mental wellness, I'm here to support you. My clients graduate from therapy with a more fulfilled and balanced life by gaining a deeper understanding of themselves, building stronger relationships, and developing healthy coping skills.

One of my favorite artists once said, “We need a lot of love to walk through this life and we all need a hero sometimes. There’s heroes all around us in unassuming places but you might find that you can be your own hero, even if you feel broken inside.”

Know that you’re not alone, allow me to be part of your journey to bring your inner hero to light.

Ka Bao Adame, LMFT

About Me

Hi, I’m Ka Bao Adame, but some call me Kay or KB. As I reflect back on my earlier years when I was going through my own anxiety and depression, I realized that I didn’t have the tools that I needed to help me; but once I found them it helped me live a more balanced and fulfilling life. My personal experiences contributed to my passion to help promote mental health awareness and help people heal and live with mental illness.

I am a bilingual (Hmong and English) licensed mental health therapist who has experience with children, teens and adults struggling with anxiety, trauma, depression, and relationship problems. Some treatment modalities I am trained in and use include:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
  • Psychodynamic
  • Infant Mental Health
  • Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
  • Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics (CBIT)
  • Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP- a trauma informed relationship based approach for parents and young children)
  • My counseling approach is holistic, collaborative, and being culturally responsive using integrative mental health practices to empower personal growth.
